By that I mean that you could easily make a Zelda style game where you run around collecting stuff, unlocking doors and slashing at baddies. But the more complex UI like inventories and complex dialogues would require some substantial knowledge that can only be harnessed after having had some proper experience with OMG.
I would recommend starting off small. Perhaps make a few separate projects that explores each particular aspect of an RPG before trying to make a game that features them all. After all, you do have 20 game slots to start with.
